So, I don't get it, someone tell me please. Why do Virgin Voyager train doors automatically shut, even when you're standing, queuing, in the doorway?

I was on a train from somewhere to somewhere, can’t remember where, doesn’t matter, when finally, after months of having bluetooth actively seeking friendly fellow bluetooth devises, it happened.
